Leah Shumway

Doctor Shumway grew up in the midwest but transplanted to Utah early. She attended the University of Utah where she graduated with a degree in Biology in 2019. She graduated from the Utah State University/Washington State Univesity Veterinary Medicine collaborative effort in 2026.

She spent 11 years as a veterinary technician before entering medical school. Dr. Shumway has a wide-range of interests in veterinary medicine, including surgery, critical care, ultrasound, and general medicine.

Dr. Shumway has two wonderful daughters and a host of animals at her house. She enjoys knitting, puzzling, and reading mystery novels.
